A Singapore Food Weekend: October 26 – 27, 2013

As is often the case, there’s always good stuff going on in Singapore when I’m not around. That’s no reason I can’t help you all out with a handy list of foodie things going on this weekend around Singapore, make sure you let me know if you get a chance to try any out!

Gourmet Market at Keppel Bay

Featuring vendors from Singapore and the world you’ll find cheeses, wine, coffee, icecream and more. Open between 11am and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday, pop down for a look and enjoy something great to eat. You can read more about the vendors and other details on the Marina at Keppel Bay site.

Le Gluttony at Chijmes

When you’ve finished at Keppel Bay, head over to Chijmes from 3pm until 11pm on both Satuday and Sunday and join Le Gluttony who have assembled a mix of food, film and music for you to enjoy. There’ll be a food market with goods from local food and beverage entrepeneurs and local talents in music providing the tunes.

If Halloween is your thing, you could head to Universal Studios at Sentosa on Saturday night for their Halloween Horror Night. Tickets are from $60.

For a food obsessed town, there aren’t that many markets that offer local variety as well as international options. Pasarbella is one of the few and when I re-visited recently I was reminded just how good it is. It’s one of the best places for fresh seafood in town, and you can  take a seat at the sushi bar and enjoy the produce as you watch the sushi chef prepare your meal. There’s also a butcher, coffee, a fabulous cheese room and lots, lots more. Visit http://www.pasarbella.com for more info.

And if you’re still looking for some foodie action after the weekend, go and check out The Provision Shop at Everton Park. It opens on Monday 28th October at 9am and closes at 9pm daily. They offer salads, sandwiches, soups and takeaways. Click the link above for more details.
